ASME/ANSI and MSS standards govern fitting dimensions and tolerances, ASME/ANSI B16.9 “Wrought Steel Buttwelding Fittings”, is the basic standard.
It covers steel butt-welding fittings sizes NPS 1/2 through NPS 48 (DN 15 through DN 1200).
